2. Buy Flight Simulator X

3. Warn your friends and family
They might not be seeing much of you for a while. Offer to take them flying, of course, Just don't expect them to understand your new "hobby." If they express interest, buy them copies too so that you can all fly multiplayer together!
4. Fly some missions
New in FSX, missions provide structure to your simulation experience. There are tutorial missions to get you started, and dozens more to challenge and amuse you. Fly through hoops. Land on glaciers. Stay calm in the cockpit of an airliner, or show an airshow crowd just how crazy you are.
5. Share the sky
We've completely overhauled our multiplayer features in this version so that it's easier than ever to fly online. Find a session that sounds appealing, or host one of your own—multiplayer is a great way to meet other virtual aviators. Lacking confidence? Share your aircraft with someone more experienced.
